Dampong (Ash), April 10, GNA- Mrs Gifty Ohene-Konadu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante-Akim South, has urged the contractor working on the 16-kilometre-Asankare-Amoana Praso road to execute a quality work to the project. She said the situation where newly constructed roads deteriorate soon after completion was unacceptable and must be condemned in no uncertain terms. The MP made the observation when she inspected progress of work of the road at Dampong near Asuboa on Tuesday. The road, which is being constructed by AKN Investment Ghana Limited, would involve the improvement of its surface to make the road motorable for the farmers to transport their produce to the marketing centres.
Mrs Ohene-Konadu cautioned the contractor that the assembly would not countenance any shoddy work, adding that failure to execute quality work could lead to termination of the contract. She assured the people that government was committed to delivering its promises and urged them to rally behind government as it strives to improve the living conditions of the people. Mr Kwaku Ohene-Ntow, Chief Executive Officer of AKN Investment Ghana Limited, assured the MP of quality work and called for the co-operation of residents.
