MP urges communities to initiate development projects

Mfuom (C/R), April 14, GNA – Rev Ben Donkor, the Member of Parliament for the Heman-Lower Denkyira, has appealed to communities in the area to initiate more self-help projects.

He said the resources of the district assembly, including the Common Fund, was not sufficient to cater for the needs of the 800 communities in the district.

The MP said this at separate forums during a tour of communities in the constituency to explain government policies to the people. Communities he visited included Jukwa, Frame, Baako Ndidi, Last Stop, Ampenkro, Mba Nya Aye, Abrafo, Gya Aware and Bekawopa. He urged them to take part in communal labour and that the assembly would aid communities that initiate projects. The MP also advised the people to embrace the National Health Insurance Scheme to enjoy better health care delivery.
