MP supports paralyzed girl to attend school

Prestea, (W/R), Dec. 1, GNA – Mr. Francis Adu Blay Koffie, Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni/ Valley Constituency, has provided a self-paddled wheel chair valued at GHC950 to Millicent Seidu, a 23- year-old paralyzed student of Prestea Methodist Junior High School.

According to the MP, he was touched to support Millicent in 2005, when he witnessed her going to school in a wheel chair being pushed by her brother.

Presenting the self-paddled wheel chair to Millicent’s father at Prestea, the MP said her situation motivated him to continuously search for somebody to manufacture a self paddled wheel chair to enable her to attend school freely on her own.

Mr. Koffie advised parents whose children had similar physical disabilities like Millicent to ensure that they invest in their education to help them achieve their targeted aims in life.
