MP supports development projects with a fund

Goaso (B/A), Jan 11, GNA – Mr. Benjamin Osei Kufuor, MP for Asunafo North, has initiated a 250 million cedis programme to support development projects in some communities in the constituency.

The projects include storm water drainage at Mim Fata-Agya at the cost of 150 million cedis and 50 million cedis cash donations each to the Akrodie and Mim Small Town Water Projects.

The MP told Ghana News Agency that five needy but brilliant students in second cycle schools would also be offered scholarships.

Mr. Kufuor also said he planned to visit Toronto, Canada later this month to attend a ceremony organized in his honour by his school colleagues on his election, adding that, he would proceeds from his engagements to purchase hospital beds, mattresses, drugs and medical equipment for hospitals and clinics in the constituency.

The MP commended Alhaji Abdul Karim, Mr. Dominic Mensah and Madam Akua Bemah, Assembly members, for their patriotism and diligence towards development in the area.

Mr. Kufuor called on parents to strive to educate their children to the highest level to enable them to face future challenges. 11 Jan 04
