MP supplies TV, books and furniture to schools

Tarkwa, Feb 26, GNA – Mr Albert Kweku Obbin, the Member of Parliament for Prestea-Huni Valley, has said for Ghana to achieve her millennium challenge goals, no child should be left out as far as the provision of quality education was concerned. He said education was the only means that could bridge the gap between the poor and the rich.

Mr Obbin said when he presented school furniture, exercise books and television sets to some schools in his constituency. ”This is to lessen the burden on parents and teachers and also to encourage the school children to study.”

He said the government would this year rehabilitate Bogoso Nurses’ quarters with money from the HIPC fund and appealed to the chiefs and the Bogoso Area Council to corporate with Bogoso Gold to promote development in the area.
