MP retained unopposed to contest parliamentary seat

Bibiani (W/R), April 14, GNA – Mr Christopher Addai, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, was on Sunday re-elected by popular acclamation to contest the seat in this year’s elections on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Mr Addai, who is the Deputy Minister of Works, Housing and Water Resources, was the only person to file his nomination papers to contest the primaries.

Addressing delegates and Party members at Bibiani, Mr Kingsley Adjei-Manu, the District Chief Executive, thanked the 135 polling station chairmen for reposing confidence in the MP. He appealed to the supporters to intensify their campaign to enable the Party sweep all votes in the constituency in the presidential and parliamentary elections. Mr Addai pledged to continue to promote education, health and agriculture in the constituency and called for peace and support of all.
