MP presents relief items to disaster victims

Mankranso (Ash.), July 16, GNA – Mr Stephen Balado-Manu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo-Ano South, has presented building materials valued at over 40 million cedis to rainstorm disaster victims in the area.

The items were made up of 100 bags of cement, 40 bundles of roofing sheets and 25 boxes of roofing nails.

They were bought from his share of the MPs Common Fund. Mr Balado-Manu, presenting them through the district assembly at Mankranso on Friday, hoped the items would help bring some relief to those whose houses got damaged by severe rainstorms earlier this year. The MP told the assembly and the district office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to be fair in the distribution of the items to the victims.
