MP predicts victory for NDC

Nkwanta, Nov. 3, GNA – Mr. Gershon Gbediame, Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South on Tuesday said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ideological fellow-feeling and compassion for the ordinary Ghanaian would propel it to stardom in the December elections.

Mr. Gbediame who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview said the passion the NDC has for the ordinary man, especially the hard-working farmers and teachers had culminated into the institution of the Best Farmer’s and Best Teacher’s awards among others, as a morale booster.

He said Ghanaians were privileged to have experienced life under the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and “want to state that life was far better under the NDC compared to what pertains now”.

Mr. Gbediame said the prevailing socio-economic hardship being perpetrated by the government of the NPP on the teeming masses was at the verge of collapsing the socio-cultural ties and cohesion in the country, adding “the earlier the NPP was voted out, the better for the country”.

He said the Nkwanta South Constituency had benefited from enormous development projects under the NDC, including hooking to the national electricity grid, the construction of the bridge over river Oti at Damanko and the upgrading of the Nkwanta Health Centre to the status of a District Hospital.

Mr. Gbediame said, “our dream of making Nkwanta, an inland port fizzled out as a result of the party losing the 2000 elections but was hopeful that this laudable dream would be brought to fruition, when the NDC again takes up the reign of government”.

He therefore, urged party supporters to remain resolute and vote massively for the NDC in the December general elections to enable it complete its unfinished jobs.
