MP inaugurates rehabilitated classroom block

Nsuta-Wassa (W/R) May 22, GNA- An old six-classroom block of the Nsuta-Wassa Methodist primary school has been renovated at a cost of 50 million cedis. Funding was provided from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (Getfund) and support from Member of Parliament for the area, Mrs Eugenia Gifty Kusi.

Inaugurating the project on Friday, Mrs Kusi said education is the bedrock for the development of any nation hence the determination of the Government to provide quality education for the people. Mrs Kusi who was a pupil of the school said she would do all she could to ensure that enough facilities were provided to enhance teaching and learning. She called for unity and cooperation among the people of the area and said it was only in an atmosphere of peace that their developmental objectives could be fulfilled.

Mr. Oduro Kwaku, an Assistant Director of Education in the Wassa West district appealed to stakeholders in education to contribute to improve education in the deprived areas.
