MP funds medical outreach

Juaso(Ash), May 10, GNA – Mrs. Gifty Ohene Konadu, the Member of Parliament for Asante-Akim South, in collaboration with the District Health Directorate, has organized a medical outreach programme for residents of Juaso and Obogu.

Among the ailments were hypertension, diabetes, malaria as well as obesity.

It was under the supervision of the District Director of Health Services, Dr. Franklin Asiedu Bekoe and the Medical Superintendent of the Juaso District Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Habib.

Miss. Philomena Adoma Kwayie, matron of the Juaso District Hospital, commended the health workers for the zeal with which they attended to the people as well as the public for the massive response. Dr. Habib said the move was the hospital’s initiative to render health service to the public in their communities to promote good health. He said the exercise would be extended to other communities to ensure wider coverage and called on the people to avail themselves of the opportunity.
