MP for Yendi meets heads of Security and other Departments in the Constituency

Alhaji Habib Tijani, Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi in the Northern Region has promised to work with the Yendi Municipal Assembly, security agencies, heads of department and heads of the two Senior High School (SHS) in the Constituency.

He said his administration will work towards sustaining peace and stability in the Yendi Municipality and the entire constituency, and also to promote development.

Alhaji Tijani disclosed these when he embarked on a familiarization tour of some government departments including security agencies, Banks and senior high schools in the Municipality on Tuesday.

He said the tour was a campaign promise to unite the people in the Yendi Constituency irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political affiliation in order to promote peace and unity and also to regularly visit the 230 communities in the constituency to know their problems and find possible solutions to them.

Alhaji Tijani noted that Yendi was fast developing and needed to have a tertiary institution such as a Teacher Training College and promised to work with the Municipal Assembly towards achieving that goal.

He said there were several boreholes in the municipality and some parts of the constituency which were not functioning and promised to rehabilitate and provide more boreholes in the constituency.

“I also promise to work with the Municipal Assembly to improve on the bad nature of our road networks in the Constituency.”

Alhaji Tijani noted that without unity, it would be impossible to achieve the goals in the constituency, and called on Assembly Members to promote peace, unity and cooperation among the people for development.

He called on Opinion leaders, Chiefs, Political leaders and youth groups to support his outfit to achieve the targets set for the constituency and also appealed to them to continue to pray for peace, unity, stability and development in the constituency.
