MP for Builsa blames road contractors

Bolgatanga, Sept. 6, GNA – The Member of Parliament for Builsa North in the Upper East Region, Mrs. Agnes Chigabatia has stated that most of the roads in the region, which were awarded to contractors have now become death traps since they were not rehabilitated.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Bolgatanga, the MP cited the Chuchuliga-Sandema road and Bongo as some of the areas of death traps.

“We cannot afford to be loosing our people like that,” she stated. “Those contractors must be brought to book to make sure that the roads are completed on scheduled,” she emphasised.

The MP, who was on a tour of her constituency distributed mosquito nets, cutlasses and cement to Wiaga and Kalijisa communities. Mrs, Chigabatia also called upon politicians of the area to patch up their political differences and team up in order to bring a total development to the area.
