MP for Ayensuoano inspect projects

Tettenku (E/R), May 28, GNA – The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano Constituency, Mr Godfred Okyere, said the government has spend 1.6 billion cedis on the construction of Kofi Pare – Anum Apapam and Anum Apapam-Tettenku feeder roads in the constituency. He made this known at a meeting with chiefs, farmers, unit committee members and cross section of the Tettenku community and said the two feeder roads would link the roads leading to Suhum and Asamankese.

Mr Okyere explained that after construction, the road would foster the smooth transportation of goods, especially foodstuffs from the hinterland to the marketing centres in the Suhum/Kraboa/Coaltar district.

He appealed to drivers who ply the road to be careful to avoid accidents.

A spokesman of the chiefs, Nene John Nyemagor of Tettenku thanked the government for the construction of the road, adding that the construction had brought a relief to the people in the area. He said the previous government neglected the people in the area and therefore pledged their support to the government and the Member of Parliament through whose efforts the road was constructed. The MP later inspected two boreholes and a 6.5 million-cedi corn mill he gave to the people of Tettenku through his common fund.
