MP for Abuakwa North boycotts his own people

People of Akyem Tafo in the east Akyem municipality of the eastern region are angry at the member of parliament(MP) for Abuakwa South constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu for not attending this year’s ohum festival.

The MP who hails from the community have enjoyed massive support from his people over the years even at the just ended primaries of the new patriotic party which he won.

“We are suprised at the attitude of our MP for failing to attend the durbar of chiefs in his own hometown after breaking the ban on noise making after winning the primaries” the aggrieved citizens stated.

Some party supporters are however not happy with delegates in the area for voting for the MP again instead of choosing his contender, lawyer Kay Amoah of kukurantumi. They accused them of taking 500cedis each to vote for the MP. “He has nothing to his credit all these years as MP and we think he don’t deserve to be our leader” they added.

Investigations by the reporter indicate that most party supporters have decided to vote skirt and blouse in the upcoming 2016 general elections to show their anger on the selfish interest of delegates.
