MP fights IMANI boss for calling president useless

The MP for Ahafo Ano North constituency, Hon. Kwesi Adusei has accused Executive Director of policy Think Tank IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe, of referring to President Mahama as “the most useless President ever known”.

Hon. Adusei told XYZ News on Friday that he met Mr. Cudjoe in a conversation at a barbering shop where he made the statements.

This purported statement came on the back of discussions being held regarding the dismissal of Deputy Communications Minister Victoria Hammah at a male grooming Salon in Cantonment, Accra.

Victoria Hammah was sacked over a leaked tape on which she was heard to be making damning comments on the internal politics in the Ministry for Gender, Children and Social protection.

According to a letter signed by the Minister of Information and Media Relations, Mahama Ayariga,“His Excellency President Dramani Mahama has relieved Miss Victoria Hammah of her post as Deputy Minister.’’

On the said tape, she is heard telling the person on the other side that she will not quit politics until she makes at least US$1m.

The tape went viral on the internet and social networking sites with newspapers quoting verbatim the comments contained thereof.

Meanwhile, Franklin Cudjoe has denied calling the President useless as reported by the MP.

He told XYZ News he never used the exact same words the MP reportedly accused him of using against President Mahama.

“I only said I didn’t think the President’s decision was a useful one for the party. I am so surprised he is spreading lies about me in the media.”
