MP -Elect for Navrongo Central Constituency appeals for Unity

The Member of Parliament (MP) elect for the Navrongo Central of the Upper East Region, Mr Mark Woyongo, has called on the chiefs and people in the area to ensure that unity and peace prevail.

This, he stressed, would pave way for him and other development partners to execute the planned projects they have for the area.

The new MP made the call when he paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Navrongo and his sub chiefs to convey his gratitude for the prayers and support he got from them during his campaign.

The MP –elect, who is currently the Upper East Regional Minister, advised the chiefs and people in the Constituency with the end of the election they must put their differences behind them and to offer him the fullest cooperation to enable him to bring more development projects to the area.

He assured the people that he would operate an open door policy where everybody irrespective of his or her political background would be brought on board to contribute to accelerate development of the area.

“I will establish Constituency Advisory Committee, which will give me advice on the urgent needs of the people to enable me satisfy the needs of my constituents better”, he stressed.

He said as an MP, he would meet members of his constituency in three months to brief them on issues pertaining to Parliament and to in turn carry their needs for lobbying in Parliament for implementation.
