MP-elect advises against land-guards

Akramaman (G/A), Dec. 29, GNA- Mr Samuel Nii Aryeetey Attoh, MP-elect for Trobu-Amasaman in the Ga District has asked chiefs and landlords in the area to refrain from employing the services of land-guards to settle land disputes.

He said the practice of engaging land-guards was undermining peace and stability in the area. It also retards progress and development in the area.

Mr Attoh was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after cutting the sod for construction of a 282-million cedi three- classroom JSS block at Akramaman in the Ga District. The Ga District Assembly is funding the project.

Nii Akraman, the local chief who chaired the function, commended the Assembly for initiating the project.
