MP donates tricycles to Youth

Mr Emmanuel Nii Okai-Laryea, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ga West, has urged the youth in the area to take keen interest in farming.

Nii Okai-Laryea gave the advice at Amasaman after presenting five tricycles to the Youth Working Committee for distribution to the five zones within the Ga West Municipality.

It was the MP’s personal donation to support farming activities in communities like Pokuase, Nsakyina, Manhea, Amasaman, Oduman, Akyeaman, Abenease, Kwashiekuma, Onyansana, Otu Apere, Akraman, Yahoman and Ayikai Dobro.

Nii Okai-Laryea advised communities in the area to take the National Clean-up Exercise seriously, to prevent the outbreak of diseases.

Mr Benjamin Nene Ani, the Amasaman Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), commended the MP for his intervention.

He said the tricycles would go a long way to alleviate the difficulties farmers faced in carting their farm produce to marketing centres, and create jobs for the youth.
