MP donates to educational institutions in constituency

Pasoro (Ash), Aug 2, GNA- Mr James Adusei Sarkodie, Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Nwabiagya, has donated 40 computers, seven printers and 60 typewriters valued at 180 million cedis to Basic and Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) in his constituency.

The items were presented to Mr Eddy Obeng-Darko, Atwima District Director of Education to be distributed to the schools. Mr Adusei Sarkodie said he was motivated by the desire to help improve upon the standard of education in the constituency.

He, therefore, appealed to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) for assistance.

Mr Obeng-Darko thanked the MP for the gesture and appealed to other citizens of the area to emulate him.

Earlier, Mr Sarkodie donated 10 million cedis to the Akropong Hospital and 20 million cedis to the Akropong Junior Secondary School (JSS) and 100 bags of cement and 4,000 blocks for the completion of the Abuakwa Local Authority Primary School.

The MP is also sponsoring the education of 10 students from the constituency in tertiary institutions.
