MP donates television sets and generators to communities

Twifo Praso (C/R), June 11, GNA – Mrs Elizabeth Amoah Tetteh, a Deputy Minister of Education, has donated 25 television sets, electricity generators and streetlight bulbs to some communities in the Attimorkwa Constituency. The donation will enable the communities, which have not been hooked to the national electricity grid, to watch the 2010 FIFA World Cup matches. Some of the communities are Som Nyame-kodu, Tsimtsimhwe, Subriso, Osenegya, Mile 33, Mbaabasa, Kenkuase Hasowodze, Danyase, Cana and Abodom. Mrs Amoa-Tetteh, the Member Parliament for Attimorkwa, said the donation was in response to an appeal the communities made to her. She said apart from the one month joy the television sets would bring to the communities, they could use it to watch social, economic, educational and political programmes. Mr Joseph Foster Andoh, the Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District Chief Executive, commended the minister for providing the items. 11 June 10
