MP donates generator to health centre

Badu (B/A), April 1, GNA – Mr. Joe Danquah, Member of Parliament for Tain in Brong-Ahafo, has presented an electricity generator to Badu health center.

The donation followed an appeal from Badu Town Council to the MP. The MP called on assembly members to educate the electorate about the importance of the national health insurance scheme so that those who had not registered would do so.

Madam Margaret Amoah, nurse in charge of the center, expressed gratitude to the MP and appealed to the MP to liaise with the Tain District Assembly towards the expansion of facilities at the center, which currently has no room for the admission of patients and has no vehicle.

Madam Christiana Arthur, senior community health nurse, complained that lack of means of transport delayed the submission of their returns and other relevant documents to Wenchi and Sunyani. He appealed to the MP to liaise with some non-governmental organisations and philanthropists to help the centre to acquire a vehicle.
