MP donates food items to Muslims

Mr Charles Obeng-Inkoom, Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West, has presented 182 bags of rice and 42 bags of sugar to Muslims within the Municipality to ensure a successful Ramadan.

Mr Obeng-Inkoom said the donation was his personal contribution to support the Muslims during their fasting and prayers.

He urged them to use the occasion to pray for the President John Mahama, MPs, Ministers and other government officials.

The items, he said, were financed from his share of the District Assembly Common Fund.

He urged the Muslims to stay away from negative tendencies, since they tarnished the image of Islam.

Mr Obeng-Inkoom asked Muslims leaders to educate their children not to indulge in violent activities.

Mr Samuel Oppong, Agona West Municipal Chief Executive, assured Ghanaians that government would do everything possible to improve their living conditions.

Alhaji Mohamed Ibrahim, Chief of the Fulani residents in Agona West, who received the items thanked the MP and MCE for their support during the Ramadan.
