MP donates books to schools

Amepemkrom (B/A), May 16, GNA – Mr Addai Simons, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Techiman South, has donated exercise books, pens and pencils to 120 school children of Amepemkrom and Nyanhu Local Authority Primary schools.

The items worth one million cedis being his share of the Common Fund was in response to an appeal made by the communities in a recent visit by the Member of Parliament to the area.

Making the presentation on behalf of the MP, Mr James Kwabena Osei, Assemblyman for Forikrom Electoral Area, urged parents to invest in their children’s education and to motivate them to acquire knowledge and skills that would enable them to face the challenges ahead of them. Mr. Attah Wonyeri, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Secretary for the area who received the items on behalf of the pupils, thanked the MP for the donation.
