Accra, July 28, GNA – Mr Alex Kyeremeh, NDC MP for Techiman North on Thursday expressed his sentiments on the controversial song entitled “Tuobodom” by a group known as Nkasie and said the song subjects the people of Tuobodom to public ridicule. “And to add insult to injury, Metro TV advertising cycle and other television and radio stations do not seem to realise the pain they have been inflicting on my constituents by feeling the airways with this song. This is regrettable.”
Mr Kyeremeh who was speaking at a press conference said the people of Tuobodom were hard working and did not rely on government for white-collar jobs “but in their own small ways do serious farming by producing tomatoes and other vegetables all year round.” He said the massacre of Rwandas and Burundis have their origins in extreme and unguarded actions and activities of individuals and groups such as Nkasie and their collaborators.
“It is time musical artistes and others started using their Good-given talents to enhance national development and cohesion.” “May I take this opportunity to call on MUSIGA and all well meaning Ghanaians to totally condemn and reject this song for what it is, and if possible totally ban it to serve as a warning to all of us.”
