Mount Ararat Church fetes widows at Amasaman

Amasaman (GAR), Jan. 11, GNA – Reverend Prophet Isaac K. Asante, General Overseer of the Mount Ararat Church International, has called on Ghanaians to show love and care for widows and the less-privileged. He said Ghanaians must offer them the needed assistance to enable them to improve upon their standard of living. Rev Asante made the call on Sunday when the church held an End-of-Year party for widows and the deprived in society at Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region.

He stressed the need for society to treat them equally and help them to become productive citizens to help build the nation. Rev. Asante said the Church as part of its social responsibilities, had instituted a programme where it would fete the deprived every two months and give the wards of the widows educational scholarships up to the university level. Rev Asante urged them to rely on the Lord and put their trust in Him to save them and their household. He urged the youth to work harder during the year and desist from engaging in vices that may tend to ruin their career. The widows from Amasaman, Doblo, Medie and Mayera were presented with clothing and food items.
