Accra, Aug. 19, GNA – Mr Allan Kyeremanten, Minister of Trade, Industries and Presidential Special Initiatives (MOTI/PSI) says new directorates have been set up to speed up the development of the new agenda of developing the industrial sector.

He said the restructuring is also to help the Ministry to implement its programmes.

The Directorates are the Small and Medium Enterprises, Industrial Development and Technology, Investment and Financial Services, Finance and Human Resource Management, Administration and Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Gender Issues.

The rest are Research Information and Statistics, Export Development and Foreign Trade, Multi-lateral Organisations and Regional Cooperation, Legal Affairs and Internal Trade and Import Management. Mr Kyeremanten said this when he addressed the Meet The Press Series in Accra on Tuesday.

He explained that even though some structures were in place already, “it is important to have a focal point that will manage and implement policy decisions.”
