Mother, son burn to death

A 45-year-old woman and her eight-year-old son have been burnt to death at Kukuzua in the Bawku West district of the Upper East region.

Anangi Ayabagot and her son, Kofi Ayabagot were warming themselves by fire in an uncompleted room when the incident occurred.

Police told Class News that the thatch building in which the victims lived,was stocked with straw and millet, which was used as feedstock for their domestic animals.

However, the straw caught fire and the victims, in their quest to rescue their items, got trapped and burnt to death.
