The mother of the late Ghanaian musician Castro, popularly known as Castro Underfire, has sadly passed away.

Madam Lydia Naa Deide Tagoe died on Thursday, October 23, 2025. The news was confirmed by her son, Nana Kwame Martin, also known as McBaby a brother of the late singer.

Her passing comes four years after the Ghanaian courts officially declared Castro dead, following his mysterious disappearance in 2014 during a jet ski incident at Ada.

Despite being missing for seven years, the law allowed for a legal declaration of death in 2021, which left the nation in mourning once again.

Madam Lydia Naa Deide Tagoe was known to have held onto hope for years, often expressing her belief that her son was still alive.

Her passing marks yet another somber chapter in Castro’s story that continues to evoke emotions in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

Details on funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by family.
