Twifo Praso (C/R) Nov. 3 GNA- The Mother and Child Foundation, an Accra-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), has donated mattresses and second hand clothing worth 10 million cedis, to the LA-Twins Children’s home at Twifo- Praso in the Central Region The NGO, which has the first Lady, Mrs. Theresa Kufuor as the Head, made the donation through the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs.
Ms. Martha Oboh the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District Focal Person, expressed the hope that the donation would provide the intended relief to the inmates.
Mr. Charles Therson-Cofie, the Proprietor of the Home, thanked the Foundation for its kind gesture, and called on other public -spirited individuals and organisations to also come to the aid of the inmates. He said the orphanage, which was established in 2002, had a kindergarten with an enrolment of 35 children between one and four years.
