Most voters in Savelugu could not thumb print ballot papers

Savelugu Dec. 7, GNA- Mr Abdul Aziz Abudulai, Presiding Officer at TB Polling Centre at Savelugu Constituency, in the Northern Region, has expressed concern about the inability of some voters especially the aged, to thumb print the Election 2004 ballot papers.

“Thumb printing of ballot papers is a major problem facing us here,” he told the Ghana News Agency.

Mr Abudlai said majority of voters spent so much time behind the ballot box in an attempt to choose the candidate of their choice, due to inadequate education on the voting process.

He asked the National Commission for Civic Education to intensify its educational campaign on the process in subsequent elections.
