An Obstetrician Gynaecologist with Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Dr. Kwadwo Sarbeng has revealed that most dildos on the Ghanaian market are not genuine.
He wondered how those fake dildos managed to get onto the market adding that they are injurious to the health of users cautioning the public to be weary of such items.
Dr. Kwadwo Sarbeng said most of these products are laced with petroleum jelly which is not the approved lubricant and therefore could have long-term effect on users if care is not taken.
“You may think it is the best but they are fake and I am wondering how they got onto the market. It is sad and I wish to advise our women to stop patronizing such products for the sake of their health”, he advised.
He also cautioned women against inserting foreign materials in their vaginas indicating that they risk infertility.
According him, the vagina is a very delicate organ and only suitable for the penis during sexual intercourse indicating that it is absurd for women to use all manner fluids with the hope of tightening their vaginas.
“They are rather courting various forms of ailments for themselves. In some cases this results in inflammation leading to serious medical conditions that requires surgery”, he stated on the Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko
