Mos Flee Bole

Kintampo, (B/A) More than 800 people of the Mo tribe have fled Bole in the Northern region to the Kintampo area following the recent crisis between Gonjas and the Mos at Bole. The district chief executive, Mr. A. B. Amoah told the GRi at Kintampo that the refugees have settled at four communities namely, Tofoboi, Yara, Ntariban and Ahenakom. According to Mr. Amoah, the District Assembly Security Committee (DIASEC) has met to plan strategies that would forestall peace among Mos and Gonjas in the district. He said at the DIASEC meeting, it was confirmed by one of the refugees that Gonjas at Babatorkese in the district have threatend to wage war with Mos farming at the banks of the Black Volta. He therefore called on the regional police administration to invgestigate and restore peace in the area.
