More than 500 displaced by floods at Tanodumase

Tanoduase (Ash), July 16, GNA – More than 500 people at Tanodumase, a farming community in the Atwima Mponua Distric, have been displaced following torrential rains that caused the Tano River to overflow its banks. About 40 houses including the local Roman Catholic and Pentecost churches were flooded and farms were submerged. Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah, the District Chief Executive for the area, toured the affected areas and assured victims that the assembly would help them.
