Montie FM rioter arrested

The Mamprobi Police has arrested a man believed to be in his mid 40’s who besieged the premises of Network Broadcasting Company Limited, operators of radio Gold, TV Gold and Montie Fm to cause chaos.

The suspect who gave his name as Kwame Paye drove in his car with registration number GW 528-10 to the premises of the station and started pelting stones haphazardly at staff on duty at the time.

The timely intervention of one of the company’s security personnel prevented what could have been a bloody incident. The unknown man alleged that he relates the NPP MP for Ayensu Ano constituency in the Eastern region, Samuel Ayeh Paye.

He further alleged that presenters at the station have consistently mentioned his name on their various programs but his claims turned out to be untrue.

The situation brought vehicular movement to a standstill for several minutes as residents rushed to the scene to catch a glimpse of the incident. The police is currently investigating the matter.
