Monday – public holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr

Accra, Oct. 17, GNA — The Ministry of the Interior announced on Tuesday that Monday, October 23 would be a statutory public holiday for the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, the end of the Ramadan Fast.

A statement signed by the Minister of the Interior, Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, said this followed information to the Ministry by the National Headquarters of the Hilal Committee that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on that day.
