Monday Declared Public Holiday

The President of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills, has declared Monday, November 7, 2011 as a Public Holiday.

According to a release signed by the Minister for the Interior, Dr Benjamin Kumbour, “the general public is hereby reminded that Sunday 6th November, 2011 which marks the celebration of Eidul Adha is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”

“In view of the fact that 6th November, 2011 falls on a Sunday His Excellency the President has by Executive Instrument declared Monday 7th November, 2011 as a Public Holiday and it should be observed as such,” it added.
