New Tottenham Hotspur signing Mohammed Kudus has set his sights firmly on helping the club challenge for top honours in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, declaring that his focus is firmly on the collective, not just individual glory.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian international completed a £55 million move from West Ham United, penning a six-year deal with the North London side, in one of this summer’s most high-profile Premier League transfers.
In his first interview with the club’s official media, Kudus struck a humble and determined tone.
“I’m very team-oriented so my personal goals are around helping the team get as many points as we can, to be as high as we can,” Kudus said.
“To help Spurs perform in the Premier League and perform really well and go as far as we can in the Champions League.”
Tottenham are eyeing a return to Europe’s elite status, and Kudus’ signing signals the club’s intent to build a team capable of competing on multiple fronts. His message of unity and ambition has already struck a chord with fans.
While Kudus acknowledges the high expectations that come with wearing the Spurs shirt, he insists the goal is to contribute meaningfully to a team effort.
“The fans deserve exciting football and results. I’m here to give my all for this badge and create memories they’ll never forget,” he added.
As pre-season begins, all eyes will be on Kudus to see how quickly he adapts and influences Tottenham’s campaign. If his form and mentality are anything to go by, Spurs fans have plenty to be excited about.
