MOH increases feeding fee for inmates of Weija Leprosarium

Accra, April 1, GNA – The Minister of Health, Major Courage E. K. Quarshigah, has raised the feeding fee for the inmates of the Weija Leprosarium from the current one thousand, two hundred (1,200.00) cedis to six thousand (6,000.00) cedis per day with immediate effect.

He has also assured the authorities and inmates of all psychiatric hospitals and leprosaria that the current daily feeding fee of six thousand (6,000.00) cedis was being reviewed upwards and would be announced when the consultations with relevant bodies were completed. These were contained in a press release issued in Accra on Friday by the ministry and signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr Dan Osman Mwin.
