Modern market for Wassa-Tamso Inaugurated

Wassa-Tamso (W/R), Nov. 10, GNA – A modern market and a 16-seater aqua privy toilet, jointly funded by the Wassa West District Assembly and the Ghana Manganese Company (GMC) for the people of Wassa-Tamso have been inaugurated at Wassa-Tamso near Tarkwa

They were completed at a total cost of 173 million Cedis. Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Ayensu, Wassa West District Chief Executive inaugurating the project called on the people to honour their tax obligations to enable the assembly to provide more projects for them. He commended the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Mrs Eugenia Gifty Kusi and the management of GMC for their invaluable support to enhance the lots of the people.

Mrs Kusi advised traders at the market to keep the environment clean and take also use the facilities with care to prolong their lifespan She appealed to the people to give her and the NPP another mandate in the upcoming general elections.

Mr Wilson Anane, General Manager of GMC said the company would continue to honour its social responsibilities to the people by supporting the district assembly to provide the needed projects to enhance the lots of the people in its operational area.
