Mobile phone thief remanded

Tema, July 19, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’ has remanded a 25 year old unemployed, who forcibly snatched a mobile phone from its owner. Kwasi Mumuni pleaded not guilty and will reappear on July 27.

Prosecuting, Inspector Ben Agbedanu told the court that on July 14, Mr Fadi Malawi, who was driving through Community Two had a call on his cell phone and stopped to listen to the call.

He said the accused emerged from nowhere and snatched the mobile phone from the owner but onlookers caught him after a chase. Inspector Agbedanu said the accused was sent to the Community Two Police Station where the phone was retrieved.
