MMT installs speed limit devices on long distance buses

Kumasi, Dec 2, GNA – The Metro Mass Transit (MMT) has started the installation of speed limit devices on all of its long distance buses as part of moves to promote travelers safety.

A press statement signed by the Head of the Company’s Communications unit, Mr E. Boadi-Misa, at the end of a day’s visit to the Kumasi Depot by the MMT management, said they were eager to prevent accidents caused by over-speeding.

The statement noted that although “acts of nature could hardly be controlled” it was also a fact that some of them were avoidable.

It appealed for cooperation from passengers to achieve the goal.

The statement underlined the determination of the Board and Management to adopt safe and efficient systems of operations’
