Missing driver’s mate found hanging on a cocoa tree

Yaw Barimakrom (Ash), Feb. 3, GNA- A 30-year-old driver’s mate, Yaw Danso, who was reported missing by his relatives at Yaw Barimakrom near Agogoso in the Atwima-Mponua District in Ashanti has been found hanged at Otaakrom near Nyinahin.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency on Saturday, Police Detective Sergeant Daniel Owusu of Nyinahin police station, said on January 27, Danso and his master and others went to the bush to load some beams at Yaw Barimakrom. He said on their arrival, the deceased, who hails from the town, alighted from the vehicle and was not seen again. Sgt Owusu said two days later, one Kankam Dagarti at Otaakrom reported to the police that the deceased had been found hanging dead on a tree in his cocoa farm.

The body has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle and three others are helping the police in their investigations. 3 Feb. 08
