Minority Leader urges his Party to ensure unity of purpose

Kumasi, Dec. 29, GNA – Mr Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Minority Leader and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Suame, has urged members of his Party to be united and organize towards election 2012. He said the task of unseating the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) would not be easy and would require sacrifice, hard work and a united front.

Mr Mensah-Bonsu was speaking at a get-together he hosted for executives and supporters of the Party in the Suame Constituency in Kumasi on Monday. He asked the leadership to embark on an intensive campaign to explain the NPP’s vision and development agenda to the people to win their support. He said the nation under the eight-year administration of NPP saw significant socio-economic progress and expressed confidence that Ghanaians would vote the Party back to power in 2012.

Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, MP for Manhyia, counselled the youth against acts of violence as the Party went through elections to pick new constituency officers.

He commended the Suame Constituency for its loyalty to the party.
