Minority leader is an embodiment of plagiarism – Lecturer replies NDC

A lecturer at the Department of Petroleum Engineering at KNUST; Mustapha Hameed, has taken a swipe at the Minority leader in parliament, Haruna Iddrisu following calls for the resignation of Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency.

A section of the public, mostly NDC footsoldiers, took to social media yesterday to express their disappointment after the President at his inaugural ceremony delivered a speech that appears to have portions lifted from addresses by Former US Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton without citing the sources accordingly.

There have been subsequent calls for the resignation of the President’s press secretary after he openly apologised to Ghanaians, attributing the incident to an oversight.

In a rather sarcastic backlash in a facebook post, Mr. Hameed who is a strong member of the NPP chided members of the NDC for daring to criticise and call for the resignation of Mr. Arhin.

According to him, these very same persons have “an embodiment of plagiarism whose entire academic life is built on plagiarism; (referring to Haruna Iddrisu) as their leader in parliament.

He added that Mr. Iddrisu stood on the ticket of the NDC to retrieve his certificates which he had previously been stripped of.

Mustapha Hameed indicated that the NPP will focus on delivering their promises to the nation rather than focus on a “reckless opposition” that just wants to be petty.
