The Chief of Staff, two Ministers and the NPP Regional and National offices in Accra are in possession of, or may soon receive a petition against the Dangbe West District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. K.T.K. Agban.
The petition, written by the elders of the NPP in Shai – Osudoku, confirms an earlier report by THE HERITAGE that ?20,000 deductions per person were made from the ?500,000, poverty alleviation loans granted to women in the district.
It, therefore, calls on the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, to conduct an “immediate investigation into the matter and take appropriate action on it.”
In a related development, a senior reporter of THE HERITAGE , Mr. Isaac Homeku, had to call for police protection in Dodowa for breaking the story of the alleged illegal deductions.
