Ministers Exchange Handing-Over Note

The out-going Minister of Information, Hon. Dan Botwe, and the in?coming Minister of Information and National Orientation, Hon. Kwamena Bartels, have signed handing-over notes at a short ceremony in Accra last Friday.

The signing was witnessed by the Deputy Minister, Ms. Shirley A. Botchwey, the two Assistant Government Spokespersons, and the heads of the departments and agencies under the Ministry.

Mr. Botwe said he was satisfied with the “excellent co-operation” he had from the sector agencies and asked for the heads to offer the same co?operation to his successor.

In reply, Mr. Bartels gave a hint of what “national orientation” is about.

He said the concept embraces a total national attitudinal change towards work, the environment, maintenance of state property, rapid economic growth and the mainstreaming of rural communities into government’s rural development agenda.

He called on the heads of the sector agencies to increase their efforts to tell the story of government’s achievements.
