Ministers, DCEs “Stealing” Funds For The Poor – Bagbin

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alban Bagbin says he will resign his post if some current Ministers of State and District Chief Executives are found not to be corrupt. According to Mr Bagbin, his own investigations have established that some ministers and District Chief Executives are misappropriating funds meant to alleviate poverty in the rural areas.

He was speaking at a symposium organized by the Cape Coast branch of the Tertiary Education Network (TEIN) of the NDC.

The Minority Leader said he has challenged government on a number of occasions to conduct an independent forensic audit into the two-year administration of some government officials, who in his estimation have caused financial loss to the state, and if the probe proves adverse findings against these officials, he would resign his position as Minority Leader.

He blamed the NPP government for totally deviating from its initial development agenda to let Ghanaians own properties, to a path that has made it difficult for the ordinary Ghanaian to even get two-square meals a day.
