Minister Wants Names Of Doctors Refusing Postings

The Minister of Health, Alban Bagbin, has requested for the names of doctors and other health professionals that have refused postings to the Upper East Region for the necessary action.

This was in response to a claim made by the Upper East Regional Director of Health Service, Dr. Awonoor-Williams that 8 doctors posted to the region this year have not reported to work.

Mr. Bagbin who was speaking at this year’s 2012 annual general meeting of Heads of health training institutions and scientific session expressed disappointment about the lukewarm attitude towards postings to deprived areas especially to the three Northern Regions.
