Minister urges students to study hard to succeed

Mr. Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, Eastern Regional Minister, has advised students of the Kade Senior High Technical School to take full advantage of their education to lead the industrial sector as the country’s middle-level technicians.

Speaking to the students as part of his visit to the Kwaebibirem District, Mr. Sekyere urged them to develop the qualities for hard work and perseverance which are essential qualities for success.

The school is one of the community senior high schools established by the Government recently.

Mr. Sekyere also inspected the administration block and a three-storey classroom block for 810 students which were started in 2011 with funding from the GETFund.

The administration block is 30 per cent complete while the classroom block is 85 per cent complete, but the contractors had stopped work because of lack of funds.

Mr. Sekyere, interacting with the heads of department of the Kwaebibirim District Assembly, called on workers not to discriminate against people who needed their services.

Mrs. Faustina Korantemaa Addo, District Chief Executive, expressed concern about the low revenue mobilization and corruption in revenue collection by the assembly.
