Minister pays bills of Tinga gas explosion victims

The Northern Regional Minister, Abdallah Abubakari has offered to pay for the medical bills of six injured persons at Tinga a predominant mining community in the Bole District of the Northern Region following last Sunday’s gas explosion.

It would be recalled that 6 persons lost their lives in the incident and six others suffered various degrees of injuries when gas cylinders onboard a container truck with registration number GT 9423-10 exploded at Tinga market

Abdallah Abubakari who paid a visit to the victims and relatives of the deceased on Tuesday, made a cash donation to families of the victims and pledged government’s continuous support for their treatment.

He appealed to the Hospital authorities taking care of the victims not to demand money from them before treatment.

The minister was accompanied by Regional leadership of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), DCEs for Bole, Damongo and Sawla District as well the constituency and branch executive of Bole constituency were part of the delegation.
